CapyMutiny ("we", "us") operates capymutiny.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Email address — when you sign in via magic link. Used solely for authentication. We never share or sell your email.
• Votes and matchup picks — stored to compute community rankings. Linked to your account, not publicly visible.
• IP address — temporarily used for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Not stored long-term or shared with third parties.
• Product submissions — the URL and optional name you submit are stored for review.

What we do NOT collect

• No tracking cookies or analytics scripts.
• No third-party advertising or retargeting.
• No sale or sharing of personal data with anyone.

How we store your data

All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a server hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU). Connections are encrypted via TLS. Authentication uses JWT tokens stored in HttpOnly cookies.

Your rights

You can at any time:

• Request your data — we'll send you everything we have.
• Delete your account — we'll permanently remove your account and all associated data (votes, matchup picks, submissions).

Third-party services

• Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection. May process IP addresses per their privacy policy.
• Google Workspace — email delivery for magic links. Subject to Google's privacy policy.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
